Frequently asked questions

Why is industrial parquet so durable?

The strips of industrial parquet are set on edge, so the wearing surface is the narrow side of the wood and the full height of each strip is usable timber. As a result, the floor withstands heavy loads and can be sanded many times over its lifetime.

How is industrial parquet installed?

Industrial parquet is glued with parquet adhesive to a flat, dry subfloor. Once the adhesive has dried, the floor is sanded smooth and finished with lacquer, oil or hardwax oil. Leave an expansion gap around the walls.

Can I finish unfinished parquet myself?

Yes, but sanding requires a floor sander and some experience. After sanding, apply your chosen lacquer, oil or hardwax oil according to the manufacturer's instructions. The finish also lets you choose the floor's shade and sheen.

Where is industrial parquet suitable?

Industrial parquet suits homes as well as high-traffic public spaces such as schools, offices and shops. Its even striped pattern also works well in modern and industrial-style interiors.
