Frequently asked questions
Are ceramic tiles suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, ceramic tiles conduct heat very well and are one of the best coverings for underfloor heating. Use a flexible tile adhesive and follow the adhesive manufacturer's instructions when switching the heating on.
What does rectified tile mean?
The edges of a rectified tile are precision-ground to size after firing, so all the tiles are exactly the same size and perfectly square. This allows them to be laid with narrow grout lines for a more uniform surface.
How should I clean and care for ceramic tiles?
Ceramic tiles need no sealing or special care. Clean the surface with water and a neutral cleaner. In damp rooms, cement-based grout can be protected with a grout sealer so it doesn't get dirty.
Are large tiles suitable for a small bathroom?
Yes, large tiles also work in a small bathroom, as fewer grout lines make the room look more spacious. On a shower floor that needs a fall towards the drain, however, smaller tiles or mosaics are more practical.
