Quick-Step is a brand of the Belgian company Unilin, known for high-quality laminate, vinyl and wood floors. Quick-Step engineered wood combines the warmth of real oak with smart technology – easy Uniclic click installation, durable finishes and a lifetime residential warranty.
Quick-Step Cascada – the first 100% waterproof parquet
Cascada blends the beauty of real oak with waterproof durability. The 190 mm wide and 1.82 m long plank is Hydroseal-protected, so the floor withstands standing water on the surface for up to 72 hours and is also suitable for kitchens and bathrooms.
Construction
Quick-Step waterproof engineered wood has four layers:
- UV-cured scratch-resistant lacquer in 5–7 layers
- oak top layer ±2.5 mm, PEFC-certified wood
- HDF Mastercore – a dense, moisture-resistant core
- 2 mm wood veneer backing
Waterproof – also suitable for bathrooms
Hydroseal water-repellent protection on all four edges means water can stay on the floor surface for up to 72 hours. The floor can be cleaned with a damp cloth and is also suitable for kitchens, hallways and bathrooms. Not suitable for showers, saunas or rooms with floor drains.
Grading and appearance
The Marquant grading has lively colour variation and more and larger knots that give the floor a rustic look.
Finish
The extra matt UV lacquer gives the impression of untreated natural wood while strongly protecting the surface against wear, scratches and stains. Maintenance is easy – a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth are all you need.
