Oak Herringbone Parquet Esta BC Lava Grey extra matt lacquered is a herringbone parquet floor by the Estonian manufacturer Esta Parket – oak, tone Lava Grey, grade BC. The floor has a dark, deep tone.
Esta Parket – herringbone parquet flooring
The blocks are 14 mm thick with a stable layered construction, a 3 mm hardwood top layer and tongue-and-groove joints. Each pack contains both right-hand and left-hand blocks (R+L) for laying the pattern.
Tone and grade
BC sits between a calm and a rustic grade: sapwood, sound knots up to 50 mm and filled knots up to 35 mm are allowed. The floor has character without looking too busy.
Surface finish
The surface is finished with Esta Parket’s durable extra matt lacquer with a gloss level of only 5%. Extra matt lacquer looks as natural as an oiled floor but is just as easy to clean and maintain as a traditional lacquered floor. The surface is smooth and unbrushed. Bevelled on all four sides, the blocks accentuate the pattern and the shape of each piece.
Installation and underfloor heating
The floor is installed by gluing it to the subfloor, which ensures quiet footfall and good heat transfer. Esta parquet is suitable for rooms with underfloor heating: the recommended relative humidity is 40–60% and the floor surface temperature up to 27 °C.
