This is a trendy anthracite-grey tone that adds a contemporary and elegant look to the room.
Natur grading
The Natur grade has a calm appearance and is practically knot-free. Only the natural tone variations characteristic of oak wood occur, giving the floor a natural and harmonious look.
Brushed surface
The brushed surface brings out the beautiful natural structure of the wood and makes it pleasant and cosy underfoot.
Durable extra matt lacquer – a modern finish
A matt-lacquered parquet surface resembles oiled parquet in appearance but is significantly easier to maintain.
Advantages of extra matt lacquer
- An oiled surface requires regular maintenance, whereas a matt-lacquered surface is extremely easy to clean and care for.
- Liquids do not easily leave stains on the surface.
- In the past, lacquer was rather glossy and less natural, but modern extra matt lacquer leaves a natural and velvety impression.
The gloss level of extra matt lacquer is only 5%, which creates a natural and modern appearance.
Stable 3-layer construction
The parquet is made with a durable 3-layer construction.
Construction features
- A 1.5 mm birch-veneer backing layer ensures better moisture resistance and stability.
- The birch veneer balances the oak top layer and ensures that the parquet board does not deform.
- A uniform moisture level across all layers makes the parquet durable and stable.
Installation – Chevron or French herringbone
French herringbone parquet (Chevron) differs from classic herringbone in that the ends of the boards are cut at a 45° angle instead of a right angle. This creates an elegant and symmetrical pattern in the room, considered a particularly luxurious solution.
Installation recommendations
- French herringbone parquet is always installed by full-surface gluing to the subfloor.
- For concrete floors and underfloor heating, we recommend first treating the subfloor with two crossing layers of Pallmann P104 polyurethane primer, which ensures the best adhesion and protects against moisture.
- This reduces the risk that excess moisture released from the concrete at the start of the heating season could cause the parquet to swell or later develop drying cracks.
