Grade and tone
Grade 45 is rustic: the floor shows larger knots, small cracks and lively colour variation, which give the room a natural and characterful look. Knots and cracks are filled with black filler. Tone: Alamo – oak toned with black lime. The brushed surface gently brings out the wood grain and makes the floor livelier.
Surface finish
Natural oil penetrates the wood and gives the floor a natural matt look. An oiled surface is easy to maintain and small scratches can be repaired locally. Use care products intended for oiled floors.
Installation
The engineered wood flooring Bauwerk Alamo oiled 181mm has a tongue and groove joint and is fully glued to the subfloor with parquet adhesive. Glued parquet is quiet underfoot, stable and very well suited to underfloor heating. An expansion gap is left along the walls and covered with a skirting board. Bevels on both long sides emphasise the length of the boards. Matching skirting boards and stair solutions can be ordered in the same tone.
