Ash Parquet Flooring Esta Elegant Frost Ivory Pores 160 mm extra matt lacquered is a 1-strip engineered wood floor by the Estonian manufacturer Esta Parket – ash, tone Frost Ivory Pores, grade Elegant. The floor has a very light, white-stained Scandinavian tone.
Esta Parket – 1-strip engineered flooring
The board is 14 mm thick with a stable 3-layer construction: a 3 mm hardwood top layer, a softwood core and a moisture-resistant birch veneer base that balances the board and keeps it straight. The wood is slowly dried at the Esta factory for about 45 days, so the floor is stress-free and durable.
Tone and grade
Elegant is an ash grade whose character comes from natural colour variation, contrast between light and dark areas and visible darker heartwood. Knots are small (sound knots up to 25 mm).
Surface finish
The surface is finished with Esta Parket’s durable extra matt lacquer with a gloss level of only 5%. Extra matt lacquer looks as natural as an oiled floor but is just as easy to clean and maintain as a traditional lacquered floor. The wood pores are filled with a contrasting coloured filler (Ivory Pores), which beautifully accentuates the wood structure. The brushed surface lets you feel the natural structure of the wood. The bevelled long edges emphasise each board and give the floor a classic plank look.
Installation and underfloor heating
The boards feature a high-quality glueless Unilin click joint for quick floating installation on an underlay; if required, the floor can also be glued to the subfloor. Esta parquet is suitable for rooms with underfloor heating: the recommended relative humidity is 40–60% and the floor surface temperature up to 27 °C.
