Alcove shower screen Hietakari Vetro 534, hinged door + hinged door is a shower screen installed between two opposite walls in an alcove, separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. It belongs to the minimalist Vetro series by the Finnish manufacturer Hietakari. The set consists of the following parts: Hinged door A, Hinged door B. Vetro products are made of 8 mm tempered safety glass and mounted with hinges and fittings available in chrome, brushed, brass, white, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa. Glass options: clear, grey, bronze and satin. You choose the width of each part on the product page ā all standard sizes are the same price.
The hinged door opens 90Ā° outwards and has an adjustable centring that returns the door to the open and closed positions. A magnet seal keeps the door tightly closed while showering. As the handle you can choose a polished cut-out in the glass or a round, square or hexagonal handle ā the options and price difference are shown on the product page.

Installation
The fixed wall and door are mounted to the building wall from the sides with wall fittings and hinges. The fixed wall is supported at the top by a brace installed in the corner and at the bottom by a fitting glued to the floor; there is a 25 mm gap between the panel and the floor, fitted with the included seal. The product has no width adjustment, so the walls should be as straight as possible.
Fittings
The hinges and fittings are made of brass alloy. Chrome and brass are shiny, brushed is matte, and white, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa are painted.
Glass
The panels are made of 8 mm tempered safety glass (EN 12150). Clear, grey and bronze glass are smooth and transparent. Satin glasses are etched on one side to a velvety finish that is more sensitive to scratches and stains. Super bright glass is made with the iron removed, so it lacks the typical green tint of glass. Black glass is slightly see-through in bright light and almost opaque in a darker room. Reeded glasses are ribbed on one side. Cranith anti-limescale coating can be added at the factory to keep the glass clean for longer.
Sizes
The height is 2000 mm. You choose the widths of the parts from the standard sizes. For a custom size, ask us for a quote.
Water tightness
A 28 mm high floor seal is supplied as standard. If the floor slope in the shower area is steeper than usual, choose the 50 mm high floor seal. A 10 mm high and 16 mm wide step profile can be installed under the door, and an extension step under the glass clamp raises the glass by 10 mm.
