Alcove shower screen Hietakari Forma 464, fixed wall + fixed wall + sliding door + sliding door is a shower screen installed between two opposite walls in an alcove, separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. It belongs to the Forma series by the Finnish manufacturer Hietakari. The edges of the glass panels are framed with aluminium profiles in white, aluminium, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa. Glass options: clear, grey, Chinchilla, reeded, bronze, satin, brown satin, grey satin, super bright and super bright satin. You choose the width of each part on the product page – all standard sizes are the same price.
The sliding door moves behind the fixed wall on bearing wheels at the top edge, while the bottom of the door runs in the guide groove of the lower slide rail, so the door needs no space to open. A magnet seal keeps the door closed while showering. As the handle you can choose a polished cut-out in the glass or a round, square or hexagonal handle – the options and price difference are shown on the product page.

Installation
The panels are mounted to the building wall with wall profiles. The fittings, such as the tuning leg and support bar, are made of brass alloy in the colour of the profile: painted profiles have painted fittings, aluminium profiles have chrome-plated fittings. The sliding solution can be installed with a lower slide rail running the full width of the product or with a short rail the width of the fixed wall, leaving the doorway unobstructed. With the adjustment leg the product can be installed slightly off the floor so that water flows under the rail, or a seal can be fitted under the rail. The rails, adjustment leg and seal are included. The installation opening must be 25 mm higher than the product.
Profiles
The profiles mounted to the edges of the panels are made of aluminium. White, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa are powder-coated, the aluminium colour is anodised. The profiles are sandblasted before anodising so that the surface is as smooth as possible and does not show fingerprints.
Glass
The panels are made of 6 mm tempered safety glass (EN 12150). Clear, super bright, grey and bronze glass are smooth and transparent. Satin, grey satin, brown satin, super bright satin and reeded glass are translucent – details cannot be seen through them. Reeded is ribbed on one side, satin glass is etched on one side to a velvety finish that is more sensitive to scratches and stains. Cranith anti-limescale coating can be added at the factory to keep the glass clean for longer. Chinchilla patterned glass is also translucent and patterned on one side.
Sizes and adjustment
The height is 1947 mm. The wall profiles have a total of 40 mm of adjustment, and the included 34 mm extension profiles can also be used to fit the opening. For a custom size, ask us for a quote.
Water tightness
When installed with the short lower rail, a 10 mm high and 16 mm wide step profile can be fitted under the door to improve water tightness.
