Alcove shower screen Hietakari Forma 326, folding door + hinged door with fixed part is a shower screen installed between two opposite walls in an alcove, separating the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. It belongs to the Forma series by the Finnish manufacturer Hietakari. The set consists of the following parts: Folding door A, Hinged door B, Fixed panel C. The edges of the glass panels are framed with aluminium profiles in white, aluminium, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa. Glass options: clear, grey, reeded, bronze, satin, brown satin, grey satin, super bright and super bright satin. You choose the width of each part on the product page – all standard sizes are the same price.
The hinged door opens 90° outwards and has an adjustable centring that returns the door to the open and closed positions. A pair of magnets keeps the door tightly closed while showering. The folding door rotates 90° in both directions and the outer panel rotates 180° in relation to the inner panel, so the panels fold against each other inside the shower area against the wall. A magnet seal keeps the door tightly closed while showering. Installation
The panels are mounted to the building wall with wall profiles. The fittings, such as the tuning leg and support bar, are made of brass alloy in the colour of the profile: painted profiles have painted fittings, aluminium profiles have chrome-plated fittings.
Profiles
The profiles mounted to the edges of the panels are made of aluminium. White, black, Sand, Mocha and Cocoa are powder-coated, the aluminium colour is anodised. The profiles are sandblasted before anodising so that the surface is as smooth as possible and does not show fingerprints.
Glass
The panels are made of 6 mm tempered safety glass (EN 12150). Clear, super bright, grey and bronze glass are smooth and transparent. Satin, grey satin, brown satin, super bright satin and reeded glass are translucent – details cannot be seen through them. Reeded is ribbed on one side, satin glass is etched on one side to a velvety finish that is more sensitive to scratches and stains. Cranith anti-limescale coating can be added at the factory to keep the glass clean for longer.
Sizes and adjustment
The height is 2025 mm. The wall profiles have a total of 35 mm of adjustment for levelling tilted walls and fitting the opening. The width can be increased with a 34 mm extension profile (optional), which can be grooved, for example, for surface water pipes. For a custom size, ask us for a quote.
Water tightness
A 33 mm high floor seal is supplied as standard. If the floor slope in the shower area is steeper than usual, choose the 50 mm high floor seal. A 10 mm high and 16 mm wide step profile can be installed under the door to improve water tightness further.
