Parquet Adhesives
Parquet adhesives are designed for bonding engineered parquet, herringbone parquet and solid wood floors to the subfloor. Our range includes one- and two-component STP adhesives from Pallmann and UZIN, as well as a polyurethane primer for preparing the subfloor before gluing parquet.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between one- and two-component parquet adhesive?
One-component adhesive is ready to use and easy to apply. Two-component adhesive is mixed before use and cures through a chemical reaction, which makes it particularly suitable for demanding subfloors and large wood elements.
Is parquet adhesive suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, STP adhesives are generally suitable for floors with underfloor heating, and glued parquet conducts heat better than a floating floor. Always check the adhesive and parquet manufacturers' instructions.
How much parquet adhesive will I need?
Adhesive consumption depends on the trowel notch size, the parquet type and the flatness of the subfloor. The exact coverage per square metre is given in each adhesive's technical data; order a small surplus just in case.
