Wooden floor Bauwerk – quality and trust since 1935
Wooden floor by Bauwerk is produced by one of Europe’s leading wood-parquet manufacturers. Bauwerk floors are made at three production sites: St. Margrethen (Switzerland), Đurđevac (Croatia) and Kietaviškės (Lithuania, Boen). Bauwerk has been operating since 1935 and is known for uncompromising quality, precision and environmentally responsible manufacturing.
Wooden floor Bauwerk Casapark 138 mm – a timeless 1-strip oak look
Bauwerk Casapark 138 mm wide and 220 cm long wooden flooring is a timeless 1-strip oak floor that imitates the elegant look of plank boards, combining Swiss quality with Nordic design.
Casapark 138 is designed for customers who want a durable wooden flooring solution at a reasonable price level. The 138 mm width is one of the most stable 1-strip formats for Nordic-type climate conditions. It suits Scandinavian, modern and classic interiors equally well.
Parquet floor Casapark – long boards
In the standard series, all Bauwerk parquet floorboards are 2.2 m long and feature a full-length hardwood top lamella (veneer) across the entire board. There are no shorter “half boards” or split-lamella boards in the pack.
In the Budget Cut series, boards are also 2.2 m long, but the hardwood top lamella is cross-joined at one point—meaning the board surface is covered with two shorter hardwood lamellas.
Parquet flooring Casapark 138 mm – construction
Casapark 138 mm is 3-layer parquet flooring:
- Top layer: European oak, approx. 3.5 mm (good restoration and renovation potential)
- Middle layer / backing: softwood layers that stabilise the construction and help the floor cope better with temperature and humidity changes
- Total thickness: 14 mm
Brushed surface
Casapark 138 mm parquet flooring has a brushed surface—the softer “summer wood” is partially removed from the surface, while the harder “winter wood” stands out more. The result:
- the natural oak grain becomes more pronounced;
- practical for everyday use: small wear marks and scratches blend in visually better.
Bevels on the two long sides only
Boards bevelled on the two long sides create a longer-plank appearance, because the transitions between boards are less visually prominent.
Finishes that do not require post-treatment
Bauwerk parquet flooring is available in three factory-applied finishes that do not require any additional finishing after installation:
Osmo oil-wax
- Finished with two factory coats of Osmo oil-wax.
- Creates a silky matte, natural-looking surface that highlights the oak texture.
- Does not require immediate maintenance oiling after installation.
B-Protect ultra-matt lacquer
- 12 lacquer layers that give the impression of unfinished wood while providing a strong protective coating.
- Highly resistant to everyday wear and staining.
- Very good protection against colour changes (fading) caused by UV exposure.
Matt lacquer
- 7 thin lacquer layers providing protection even under intensive use.
- A classic, evenly matt finish that does not reflect light and looks calm and refined.
- Protects the wood from everyday dirt, moisture and stains.
All brushed Bauwerk Casapark finishes achieve R9 slip resistance, ensuring safety in daily use—both at home and in public spaces.
Engineered wooden floor installation: 5G Click and options depending on the subfloor
Casapark 138 “Click” versions use the 5G click locking system and are intended for installation:
- floating over a suitable underlay;
- or glued down to the subfloor if you want maximum stability and lower impact sound.
In addition, with glued installation it is generally not necessary to include expansion joints between rooms, provided the installed area does not exceed the manufacturer’s permitted maximum parameters.
Engineered wooden flooring that fits modern living
With its long 2.2 m boards, stable 3-layer construction, brushed surface and practical factory finishes, Bauwerk Casapark 138 is engineered wooden flooring that delivers a premium look, everyday durability and excellent compatibility with contemporary interiors.
