Vinyl Floors Click
SPC vinyl flooring is a floating installation floor covering. What does SPC mean? SPC, or Stone Polymer Composite, means a composite material produced from a mixture of stone and polymers. It is a layered material whose load-bearing structure is made from a mixture of calcium carbonate (also known as limestone) and binding polymers, providing a stiffer and more stable structure compared to LVT. The top surface layer of SPC is analogous to LVT.The construction of SPC flooring is significantly stiffer compared to LVT flooring, allowing SPC to be installed without first removing the old floor covering. For example, SPC can be installed over old ceramic tiles in bathrooms, hallways, or kitchens.Installing SPC flooring using the floating method allows covering significantly larger areas without expansion joints (up to 20×20 m). With floor-to-ceiling windows and underfloor heating, there is no risk of SPC Floor Coverings expanding at temperatures above 27 °C, which could cause click connections to come apart. Unfortunately, these problems have occurred with floating installation of LVT Floor Coverings. There is no such concern with glue down LVT flooring.SPC vinyl flooring is waterproof and well-suited for use in bathrooms, laundry rooms, hallways, kitchens, and other areas that may come into contact with moisture and water. Vinyl floor also has additional protection against scratches and potential stains. We supply SPC flooring from European quality manufacturers Quick-Step, Floorify, Tarkett, and Gerflor. These manufacturers produce vinyl floors without phthalates and formaldehyde, ensuring a healthy living environment.
